Faculty Affairs

The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs supports and oversees all phases of faculty life at the University. To promote the highest academic standards and inclusive excellence, the Vice Provost advises the Provost on faculty recruitment and promotion and tenure; assists the colleges in recruitment and mentoring; oversees the promotion and tenure process; and serves as the liaison to the Faculty Senate, the UD chapter of the American Association of University Professors, and the University of Delaware Association of Retired Faculty.

The Associate Provost for Faculty Development is responsible for facilitating the ongoing development of programs, processes, resources and policies to improve institutional climate, center equity, enhance faculty success, and develop leaders as they navigate their careers at UD. The Associate Provost is the Faculty Fulbright campus liaison and coordinates faculty development partners across UD.

The Administrative Specialist provides high-level administrative support in the Office of the Provost with dedicated support for Faculty Affairs and the portfolio of activities supervised by the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. The Administrative Specialist is the main point of contact for Faculty Affairs programs, workshops, communications and scheduling.
